These buttons tell the system how well you knew the word:

  • Again - You didn't know it at all. You'll see this card again in about 10 minutes.
  • Hard - You struggled but eventually remembered. You'll see it again in about 1 hour.
  • Good - You knew it after thinking. You'll see it again tomorrow.
  • Easy - You knew it instantly. You'll see it again in 4 days.

Spaced repetition is a learning technique based on how memory works. When you correctly remember a word, the interval before you see it again grows (1 day → 3 days → 1 week → 1 month, etc.). Words you struggle with appear more frequently. This way, you spend more time on difficult words and less time on easy ones, making your study time more efficient.

This is by design! If you marked a card as "Again" or "Hard", it will reappear sooner to help you learn it. This is part of the spaced repetition system - repeated exposure helps transfer words to long-term memory. The more consistently you remember a word, the less often you'll see it.

In Flashcard mode, you see the word, think of the answer, then flip the card to check. You rate yourself honestly. In Typing mode, you must type the correct answer, which is more challenging but helps with spelling. Both modes work with the same spaced repetition system.

Gap exercises show you a sentence with a missing word (displayed as _____). Your task is to fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word. A hint shows the translation so you know which word to use. This helps you learn words in context, which improves retention and helps you use vocabulary naturally.

Go to "Students" in your dashboard sidebar. You can either use "Quick Create" to add students one at a time (username and password are auto-generated), or use "Import Students" to upload a CSV file with multiple students. After creating accounts, give students their login credentials.

Create a CSV file with columns: front;back;sentence (separated by semicolons). Example:

front;back;sentence
apple;Apfel;The apple is red.
house;Haus;I live in a house.

Then go to your deck, click "Import Cards", upload the file, preview the import, and confirm.

Yes! Go to "Performance" in your dashboard to see detailed statistics. You can view progress by class or individual student, including cards studied, accuracy rates, last activity dates, and time spent practicing. This helps you identify students who might need extra help.

Ready-Made Decks are pre-built vocabulary collections organized by CEFR level (A1-C2) or textbook. You can copy any ready-made deck to your own collection, edit it as needed, and then assign it to your students. This saves time when creating vocabulary materials.

Start with reviewing all your "due" cards each day - these are cards the system has scheduled for review. For new cards, 10-20 per day is a good goal. Consistency is more important than quantity - practicing 15 minutes daily is better than 2 hours once a week.

Yes! Go to "My Decks" in the sidebar and click "Create New Deck". Add cards with the word on the front, translation on the back, and optionally an example sentence. Your personal decks are private and separate from teacher-assigned decks.

Your teacher may have unassigned the deck from you. Don't worry - your progress on that deck is saved. If the teacher assigns the deck to you again, your previous progress will still be there.
